Seattle Central College’s Black Student Union invites students, educators, advocates, artists, organizers, and community members to BLACK FRIDAY — a community gathering centered on identity, history, education, and collective empowerment.
The event will feature a screening of Stamped From the Beginning, the powerful documentary based on Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s work examining the origins and evolution of racist ideas in America and the movements that challenged them throughout history.
Following the film, participants will engage in a BSU-led community activity and discussion designed to encourage reflection, dialogue, connection, and shared learning.
This event is open to Seattle Colleges students and community members aligned with BSU’s mission of building community, advancing equity, and creating spaces for empowerment and collective growth.
