Steps for Designing Your Own Poster

1. Access Photoshop Templates or Use Canva
  1. Click this link to go to Canva
    Username: studentleadership.central@seattlecolleges.edu | Password: Canva2024-2025
  1. Click this link to access Photoshop templates
3. Once logged into Canva or have accessed Photoshop templates, you can:
  1. Design a poster using the Photoshop templates
  2. Use free templates from Canva’s library
  3. If using Canva, you can also use the Student Leadership templates found in the Canva Brand Kit section
4. Ensure Correct Sizing for Your Poster & Flyer
  1. Posters: 11in. by 17in.
  2. Flyers: 8.5in. by 5.5in.
  3. Social Media Flyers: 1350px by 1080px (vertical orientation)
  4. Website Calendar: 1920 px x 1080 px (horizontal orientation)
5. The Following Must Be Included:
  1. Seattle Central Logo is visibly displayed on the poster. Click this link to access logo.
  2. Contact Name and Contact Email (must be an Seattle Colleges email)
  3. Event Title, Date, Time, Location
  4. Consider ADA Standards for Visual Design .
  5. ADA Icon clearly displayed in the footer. Click this link to access icon.
  6. ADA Statement clearly displayed next to the ADA icon: “To request accessibility-related accommodations, please contact Accessibility Resource Center at arc.central@seattlecolleges.edu.”
6. After Your Design Is Complete and Requirements Are Met
  1. Submit a Print Request Form at least 3 weeks before your event: Print Request Form
  2. We will process your request, and posters will be printed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  3. Once printed, you will receive an email when your materials are ready, with instructions for campus distribution.
